THE EXECUTIVE TEAM
The University of Auckland Glee Club is a group of people coming together to enjoy and create music. Our aims are to make performing more approachable and accessible to students, and create equal opportunities for all involved, foster and showcase undiscovered young talent at the University, provide a fun musical outlet for musicians and performers and to put on entertaining and quality performances for the University community.
The University of Auckland Glee Club was started in 2010 as a club for lovers of music, particularly musical theatre, to get opportunities to perform. Since then, we've branched out to more diverse branches of music, from Popular Music to Bollywood. The club makes performing more approachable, provides an enjoyable musical outlet for singers and dancers, and fosters confidence, acceptance, and diversity.
We have performed as part of the Telecom's Shave For A Cure campaign, at events for Harcourts and Microsoft, and even made an appearance in adverts for BNZ and Jetstar. With performances on TV One's Good Morning, a headlining show at the Civic Theatre, and sold out annual concerts, and you start to get an idea of just how much we love to perform!
